Project Summary
The Centinela Solar Energy Faciliy is a 170-megawatt photovoltaic solar project located near El Centro, California. The project includes 875,000 solar photovoltaic panels on a 1,600-acre site and produces enough electricity to power 60,000 to 82,500 homes. The project is estimated to reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 324,000 metric tons, with a clean energy output that is equivalent to removing 68,000 cars from our roadways each year.
